An intimate garden where the vegetation transforms the city’s boundaries into a landscape of its own.
The Soledat garden was conceived as a refuge within the urban fabric of Sabadell. From the entrance, a multi-stemmed holm oak (Quercus ilex) emerges from amongst large rocks to welcome visitors, marking a gentle transition between the street and the privacy of the house.
At the rear, the landscape opens out around the water. Upright holm oaks blur the presence of neighbouring buildings and form a backdrop of vegetation that protects and envelops the garden. A pared-back, essential palette combines the delicate movement of grasses with the almost sculptural presence of Cyathea cooperi.
A serene and enveloping landscape, where a few carefully chosen elements create an atmosphere capable of making one forget, for a moment, that we are in the heart of the city.
