A Modernist courtyard reimagined as another room in the house.
Serrahima recaptures the spirit of the Catalan Modernist garden and translates it into a contemporary way of living. The courtyard is no longer a residual outdoor space but becomes an integral part of the family’s daily life: eating, resting, gathering or simply enjoying the changing seasons. A true extension of the house into the open air.
Organic forms replace rigid geometry, whilst colour and handcrafted materials shape the garden’s identity. Terracotta, ceramics, gravel and traditionally inspired elements interact with the existing architecture, restoring the warmth, texture and expressiveness characteristic of the Modernist imagination.
Lush Mediterranean vegetation envelops these spaces and softens their boundaries, combining structural species with grasses, aromatic plants and sculptural specimens. The garden thus takes on an intimate, homely atmosphere, brimming with life.
A courtyard where tradition and contemporary life meet, restoring the garden as an essential part of the home.
